Horray!!! Update!!

This is going to be a very exciting post for me (perhaps not for you...)!! Care to know why? Then allow me to explain:

The day after I returned from Jew Camp (which was a rip-roaring good time) I got a call from my old buddy Erik Dobson, with whom I attended soccer day camp with when we were both young, little snots. A few months ago, Erik and I were reunited at the south end Starbucks where we proceeded to sit and chat about life. These days, he has sprouted a great love for music, which I told him I share. Thus our scheme began. Together, via the glorious internet, we (well, mostly him, actually...) wrote a delicious ballad consisting of : Erik on guitar, Erik's keyboard on synthesize-drum-beat mode, and myself doing vocals.

The result: "Streat of Dreams", by Erik Dobson and Lauryn Hochberg

It took me about four hours to get the final version you hear. I'm so very excited, because it sounds SO AWEEESOOOOOOOOME!!! I LOVE YOU ERIK!!!

(By the way, I think he tinkered with my voice I bit, because I don't remember some of those low notes sounding so firm [I have a wobbly lower register...]

Listen and tell me what you think!!!

Today is a day of nostalgia... I saw people from camp... and was reminded of the Robert Weinburg Experience, aka the most awesome song ever to come out of a ten day Jew-camp.

TRWE: http://us.share.geocities.com/robertweinburg/zzz.mp3

It is a beautiful thing.

Here is another beautiful bit of memoribilia:

[In an email to Tammy from me this summer]

"Do you suppose sheep get a lot heavier when their wet? After a big down pour, they probably can hardly walk, what with the extra weight... especially if their carrying passengers and luggage. Cows aren't absorbent at all, though. Not at all like sheep. The water runs off a cow's back like it would a little duck's back. And.... ducks would run off a cow's back too like water would run off a duck's back. But a duck wouldn't run off a sheep’s back... it would try very hard but wouldn't get very far. It would just be absorbed into the wool. And then you'd have a sheep full of dead ducks. And that's no good to anyone.  Except maybe the shepherd, who'd go "Wow. That's a unique pelt. I'll get a good price for that."

What?

I have no idea.

I want to post some pictures of my friends, but I just realized that I have none. So, if you're out there, and you're my friend, send me a picture of you. Or, even better, if you were at tolo with me SEND ME SOME OF THE PICS.

Greedy children....

Since I can't think of anything else to write and I don't have any good pictures, here's the grand finale to this post:

I hope you liked it.

The End.

[OK, this post should be before the one about Dracula, and I don't really know why it's not there... so I'll just mention that it should be and that it decided that its just so awesome that it should come first. What a bastard.]

I want this dress. So. Bad. Rich people: go buy this $5,000, one of a kind designer gown for me.

Joel Schumacher... what a pimp! Look where those hands are going!

I am so bored right now, I think I'm going to die. I always seem to be bored when I update, which, now as I reflect, may be because I always post when I'm in digital imaging. I'm seeing a connection...

It's finals week. Tomorrow I have math and band finals. I don't care about math, because I know I'm going to suck anyway, but I dread band. I have to clap the rhythm to some part in a song... that doesn't sound bad, but I apparently missed the day in fifth grade when they taught us how to count rhythms...

Pure, untainted fear grips my soul at the thought of tomorrow.

Thanks, Gerry. You're a pal...  (Lauryn has fun with Photoshop...)

More later, when teachers aren't prowling behind me....

*wet, slobbery smooches for you*
